Dedication

This website is dedicated, in part, to the memory of Sir Brandon Red, that proud Irish Setter boy who in the early 70's introduced me to all that "Free Spirit"  in an Irish Setter really means.  As well, and again in part, it is also dedicated to the memory of Grouse, my second Irish Setter boy who shared most of his 13 years, 9 months with me, and was a patient and willing subject for all of my investigations into pet foods and nutrition.  Last, but certainly not least, it is also dedicated to the memory of that Irish gal  Molly who ingrained in me the lesson of how tough it is to attempt to buoy an immune system after it has been devastated by an onslaught of vaccinations.  Much of that problem only became evident after about four years of age and lasted the remainder of her 13 years, 3.5 months. Although I still feel I owed her better, she was indeed my greatest teacher and really made me the healer that I have become today.  Although these 3 wonderful creatures have passed on, they are not forgotten and their spirits deserve to reside here.  Currently I am blessed with two Irish Setters, Maggie and Murphey, who are the greatest benefactors yet  as they will enjoy a naturally long and disease-free lifespan due to my passion for animal nutrition. Of course they will continue to teach  and challenge me, as do each and every one of the beloved companion animals I encounter.
